This month’s updates are highlighted by the release of three highly requested features: increased personalization with custom shortcodes across all of TaxDome; the introduction of printable custom-branded PDF invoices; and a redesigned import tool to make getting onboarded with TaxDome even easier & faster.
And we’re excited to give you a sneak peek at next month: we are nearing the release of Wiki Pages, a knowledge base within TaxDome which will allow you to build Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and link instructions to job templates, ensuring that work is done correctly time after time, no matter who is in charge of it.
Let’s look at what we’ve been up to in June.
Custom field shortcodes for personalized communications to clients
We’re happy to deliver one of your most popular requests: even more personalization with custom field shortcodes. You can now customize any emails, messages, contracts and job names with custom field shortcodes.
For example, add [business name] and [EIN] shortcodes to your bookkeeping contracts. To keep your client abreast of how much to pay and ahead of what date – send automated emails or messages with [Q12022 est payment] shortcodes.
Custom field shortcodes save a great deal of time by adding an extra level of personalization to all your communications, even when they are fully automated!
New CSV import tool
Meet a hassle-free transition experience with our new CSV import tool! It has been redesigned with a focus on speed and additional functionalities. Import time has been accelerated by over 50%, enabling you to bring your data into TaxDome quickly and speeding up the onboarding process.
💰 Invoices & Payments
Printable custom-branded PDF invoices
You can now send clients professional-looking PDF invoices, branded with your firm’s logo. Your clients will now receive these PDFs as attachments to email invoices, which are accessible for download and print in the client portal.
📚 Document management
Editing and commenting on documents enabled
It has been possible to allow your clients to view and edit PDFs sent via Secure Messages. The same function is now available for sharing editable docs via email. A message to a client will contain a link to a document that the client needs to mark up.
New filter by ‘File Types’
Filtering by ‘File Types’ allows you and your clients to filter out all but the documents that you’re interested in seeing: PDF, Word, Excel or Images. You can use multiple filters at the same time.
📱 Client Mobile App
Upgraded e-signing process for your clients
We’ve refined the Client Mobile App and now, when your client signs documents, it proportionally adjusts the mobile screen view and automatically zooms into the signature field.
Reminder: now your clients can enter and reuse their signature instead of typing their initials multiple times.
Sneak peek – the ability to draw signatures is coming soon!
- CPACharge discount. Treat yourself to faster, more reliable payments this summer with CPACharge, the online payment solution designed for the accounting industry. Sign up for CPACharge within the month of June (6/1 – 6/30) and receive a $100 Visa Gift card!
- UX/UI improvements across TaxDome. The right-sidebar menus within Pipelines, Site, filters and filter templates have been reworked: instead of the single ‘Back’ button, you have ‘Save’ and ‘Cancel’ options for better navigation.
- Warning about losing messages. When leaving the chat box with an unsent message, users are warned that the unsaved changes will be lost.
- Done uploading checkbox. You can toggle this feature off in firm settings if you don’t want clients to see this checkbox. Additional upgrades and customizations are also on the way.
