TaxDome feature updates through years

2019: Laying the foundation for success

In our early years, we focused on establishing TaxDome as a reliable and robust platform. We introduced essential features: the client portal and document storage.  By focusing on the former, we put client experience first – and these were the features served as the backbone of our software, enabling accounting firms to streamline their internal processes and enhance client collaboration. To the early clients we met at conferences in New York, Reno, Orlando, Las Vegas and Atlantic City – your insights and feedback were invaluable.

2020: Expanding horizons

As our user base grew, so did our determination to meet the diverse requirements of accounting firms. In 2020, we released several significant updates to TaxDome, including advanced integrations with popular accounting software, enhanced security measures, and time-saving automation features. These advancements aimed to reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and provide our clients with a competitive edge in their industry.

The COVID-19 pandemic triggered an immediate need for remote workflows — within teams and between firms and clients – and our goal was to deliver an immediate response to meet the quickly changing needs of the remote-first world.

2021: Embracing feedback and customization

We understand that every accounting firm has unique workflows and preferences. In 2021, we focused on incorporating user feedback and delivering customization options to our clients. We introduced report templates and customization of the client portal, including dashboards,, empowering accounting firms to tailor TaxDome to their specific needs. By actively listening to our clients’ voices, we aimed to foster a collaborative partnership that would drive our product’s growth in the right direction. To those of you who participated in our feature request board and engaged in customer interviews with our product team – your insight and feedback is invaluable to our continued growth.

2022: Elevating collaboration and client experience

Recognizing the importance of seamless collaboration between accounting and bookkeeping firms and their clients, we dedicated 2022 to enhancing communication and client experience within TaxDome. We introduced integrated messaging channels, client onboarding tools, and real-time notification features. These updates aimed to simplify communication channels, minimize information gaps, and foster stronger relationships between accounting firms and their clients.

2023 and beyond: The promise of a bright future

As we move forward, our commitment to constant improvement remains steadfast. We understand that accounting firms face ever-evolving challenges, and we aim to be at the forefront of their needs.

We have an exciting roadmap ahead, with two-way texting (SMS), proposals, advanced reporting and further workflow enhancements in development and many more exciting features in our plans.
