In a previous update, we introduced a native PDF editor, allowing you to annotate and modify PDF documents in TaxDome just like you would with Adobe Acrobat, incorporated into your practice management workflow.
Today, we are announcing the release of an integrated PDF scanner for our Windows application. Another reason not to keep those piles of paper on your desk!
Now, you can build a robust system to work with PDFs, included into your subscription at no extra cost. Scan paper documents directly into TaxDome, edit them, and create fillable PDF forms easily.
Here’s how it works
Put the paper documents into your scanner. Right click on any folder in the TaxDome Drive and select the newly added menu item ‘Scan to TaxDome’. A window will open where you can further configure your scanning options or just click ‘Scan’. That’s it!
Other scanning options
As a reminder, both you and your clients can scan documents directly into TaxDome.
Your clients can scan and upload files from their mobile phone using the iOS or Android mobile apps. This creates a clean, easy to view PDF for your firm. Should you want to, your firm staff can then annotate, highlight, rotate, or otherwise modify the PDFs using the native PDF editor.

😎 Sneak peek: We are working on the ability to request e-signatures directly within the Windows Desktop application, so you can print your 8879 directly from your tax program and request your client’s signature in the same window! Stay tuned!
