🤖 TaxDome AI
We’re excited to announce the launch of TaxDome AI which delivers organized workpapers from clients and replaces manual document workflows. By incorporating AI into the client experience, we are addressing core issues faced by tax professionals, including the disorganization of client workpapers, time-consuming manual document management, and the inefficiencies caused by non-descriptive file names.
In short – your team will receive organized documents – with clear, descriptive file names and (new) document tags. For your client – absolutely no work is required. They simply upload as they always have, except the end result is, for once, organized and clearly labeled.
Currently in beta, our goal with TaxDome AI is to replace repetitive workflows entirely, allowing professionals to focus on more valuable aspects of their work and save countless hours.
Think of how much time you’ve spent looking through random file names over the years — those days are over.
As we continue to develop TaxDome AI, we’ll also add new use cases, including bank statements, driver’s licenses, and more. So, join the TaxDome AI waitlist to receive important updates on when this feature will be available to all firms.
It’s important to note that as a SOC-2 certified platform, TaxDome does not use your data to train AI models and incorporates zero retention policy, so your clients’ private information stays private.
💰 Invoicing
Last month, as part of our usability initiative, Project Apollo, we introduced new UX customizations in invoices and payment tables. Now, we’ve added options that will help you create professional invoices that match your firm’s branding.
You can customize your invoice layout, logo size, colors, and more to create invoices that uniquely reflect your firm and brand. You can also tailor your invoices to focus on the information you want your clients to see by emphasizing services, adding personalized client notes, and modifying column visibility.
🔐 Security
To further increase security and improve your workflow, we’ve introduced Google Single Sign-On (SSO) for all Google account users, including both paid Google Workspace emails and free Gmail accounts. This allows both your team members and clients to log in effortlessly, eliminating the need to remember multiple passwords and reducing potential login issues.
If you haven’t used it before, SSO allows you to skip entering your password every time you log in — so long as you are logged in to your Google account. You simply click ‘login with Google’ and that’s it.
With Google SSO, you also get the benefit of Google’s robust security features, boosting protection for your firm’s and your clients’ valuable data.
If you are not currently using a Google email but would like to use SSO, simply change your login email to a Google email in your settings.
In future releases, we will also add support for Microsoft 365 single sign-on.

TaxDome Essentials bootcamp recording

🔎 Beta updates
Client requests
We’ve been talking about it for a while, and now the new Client requests feature is right around the corner. This powerful new tool speeds up the process of gathering ad-hoc information and documents from your clients. With Client requests, you can quickly and easily create an itemized list of questions you want your clients to answer. One beta user writes, “Requests is a great alternative to Organizers for bookkeeping in my opinion”.
Just like an organizer, you can utilize many question types, such as text entry, dates, numbers, file uploads, and more. But, they’re much faster to create because they don’t require templates – you can quickly create a request and send it off. Combined with client tasks and organizers, your team can utilize a comprehensive suite of tools to gather information covering multiple use cases.
MacOS desktop app
As we continue to develop a cross-platform desktop app, we’re also working to release a new Mac OS desktop app. This will offer Mac users greater convenience and efficiency in organization. Via the Finder, you’ll be able to view, edit, and upload docs to TaxDome quickly and easily, so stay tuned for more updates.
