Meet Christopher Dahl, owner of Sovereign Solutions ApS, an accounting firm based in Copenhagen, Denmark with 30+ clients and a staff of five.

Serving mostly fintech companies, Sovereign Solutions ApS specializes in bookkeeping and CFO services, including everything from cash management to creating budgets and monthly reports.

The biggest problem Sovereign Solutions ApS faced was that routine tasks were spread across individual systems with no cohesion, reducing the team’s overall organization and efficiency.

Before I started using TaxDome, we had an incredible number of individual systems that weren’t quite talking to each other. So information and task lists and so on were scattered all over the place in different systems that didn’t quite add up.

Sovereign Solutions ApS used Word documents and a general task manager application to manage its daily tasks — and it wasn’t always clear what each team member had to do.

The team also used Gmail to communicate with clients. This led to additional tasks that the team had to manage separately, as email communication wasn’t integrated into their wider workflows.

Other software platforms didn’t meet all the team’s needs

Christopher needed a solution to these problems but found that no other software on the market addressed them all.

I couldn’t find anything that suited my needs… I looked at project management systems, but I didn’t think they had the functionality I needed.

This prolonged the problem of having to juggle multiple systems for individual tasks: “I ended up using a lot of individual systems for single tasks or single issues. I couldn’t find a system that covered all my needs as a bookkeeper and accountant.”

The array of platforms the team used made their workflows complicated and disorganized. As a result, routine tasks became more difficult and time-consuming than necessary.

Streamlined client communication, saving time

The team at Sovereign Solutions ApS no longer has to communicate with clients in their email provider, thanks to secure email integration in TaxDome: “My favorite thing about TaxDome is that it integrates with, for example, Gmail. So you can automate your communication with customers.”

Christopher also commented on how email templates, automated reminders, and client activity notifications have streamlined communication by eliminating the need for manual follow-ups and updates — saving his team time.

Quick and easy implementation for both firm members and clients

This admin work that you can’t really bill for, it saves us from that.

Christopher explained how TaxDome’s implementation plan made it easy for his team to get up and running — which also meant their problems were solved quickly. In particular, Christopher praised the TaxDome Help Center and how the TaxDome team promptly answered all his questions. 

The onboarding process with TaxDome was really positive. There is a lot of material in the system that you can see; videos on how to set it all up. So it’s very easy to find information yourself, and in the areas where I had doubts, my questions were quickly answered.

In addition, gaining and onboarding new clients has now become easier for Christopher’s firm: “We have created workflows that make it easy to manage the back-and-forth communication with a potential customer… And once the offer is accepted and signed, it has helped us with the onboarding process itself.”
