When we first launched our Firm mobile app in 2021, it introduced a new way for accountants, bookkeepers, and tax professionals to interact with their clients and manage daily activities. The initial release was met with enthusiasm from our community, as it addressed several pivotal needs in mobile productivity for accounting professionals:
- Secure messaging with clients: providing a secure platform for communication was paramount. This feature allowed professionals to interact directly with clients in a secure environment, increasing convenience and trust at the same time.
- Access to CRM information: immediate access to client information anytime, anywhere enabled faster response times and more personalized service to futurize and enhance the client experience.
- Updates on firm activity through Inbox+: this feature provided real-time updates on client actions and firm activities directly to mobile devices, allowing professionals to stay connected with the firm’s pulse and remain proactive in client management.
Earlier this year, we announced upgrades to the Firm mobile app, each designed to enhance functionality and further improve workflow while team members are away from the office. These included:
- A redesigned home screen with quick action buttons: redesigned for enhanced usability, the new home screen features quick action buttons such as Upload Document, Create Chat, Create Account, and Create Contact, allowing for faster and more efficient task completion.
- Enhanced CRM capabilities: enabling mobile viewing, creation, and editing of accounts and contacts directly from phones and tablets.
- Document management: view and upload client documents directly from the app, facilitating document handling during meetings or remote work, and ensuring continuity and efficiency.
- Secure communication: the new Chats section within each client’s account enhances the client experience by supporting secure messaging and document exchanges, centralizing communications for better organization and access.
- Adjustable push notifications: allows users to customize notification settings for client actions, improving information management without overwhelming users.
- Face ID and touch ID: enhanced security through biometric authentication options like Face ID and Touch ID, protecting sensitive client data.

- Tasks: also within the workflow section, this gives you the ability to edit tasks, leave comments, and attach documents directly from your mobile device.
- Global communication hub: all secure client chats across your firm are available in one global section, making it easier than ever to manage client interactions without switching between applications.
