2024 was a great year for accounting conferences in the UK. The TaxDome team attended major events in London, Manchester, and Birmingham. Thanks to all the accounting, tax, and bookkeeping pros we met along the way!
Looking ahead, 2025 looks like another exciting year, with a range of high-profile events to look forward to. In this article, we’ll highlight the top ones to consider.

Join the most important UK accounting events in 2025
In an increasingly digital world, you still can’t beat attending an industry event. Conferences are an excellent way to connect with like-minded professionals and share ideas and knowledge. They’re also a great way to learn about the latest trends, best practices, and tools shaping the industry.
While there are plenty of great accounting conferences to choose from in the UK, we’ve narrowed down the field to six of the very best. So, grab a cup of tea and get your calendar ready!

Festival of Accounting and Bookkeeping
Format: In-person
Dates: 12-13 March, 2025

The Festival of Accounting and Bookkeeping (FAB) is one of the biggest UK accounting events of the year. Taking place at the Birmingham NEC over two days, it attracts around four thousand accountants, bookkeepers, and tax professionals each year. What’s more, tickets are completely free. Now that’s good value!
FAB offers a range of exciting opportunities for attendees, with a blend of networking, hands-on learning, and insightful presentations from industry leaders. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- A huge expo with more than 100 industry vendors — including TaxDome!
- Pre-booked one-on-one sessions with software providers
- More than 40 hours’ worth of CPD content

Digital Accountancy Show

The Digital Accountancy Show is another standout event in the UK accounting calendar. Taking place in the nation’s capital, attendees enjoy two jam-packed days of tech-focused insights and talks. Amazingly, regular entry to this accounting conference is completely free. Attendees can also opt for a premium pass for £145, which comes with recordings of all talks and fast-track registration.
With more than five thousand attendees, two hundred guest speakers, and 150 exhibitors, The Digital Accountancy show is the UK’s biggest tech-focused accounting event of the year. Attendees can look forward to:
- Expert talks on big-picture technology trends and digital transformation
- Practical how-to sessions on how to automate workflows and grow your business
- Intimate roundtable discussions where you can share knowledge and network

Accountex London

This list wouldn’t be complete without Accountex London. With more than eleven thousand attendees and 160 presentations across twelve stages, it’s the biggest accounting conference in the UK by some distance. Registration isn’t open yet, but you can sign up to the mailing list to receive notifications when tickets go on sale. If previous years are anything to go by, tickets will be completely free.
So what sets Accountex London apart? Over the course of two days, attendees will have access to industry-leading accounting content, experts, and tech. Highlights include:
- 180 CPD-accredited seminars, with up to 16 CPD credits available
- Software demos from more than 300 exhibitors, including leading FinTech businesses and hot startups
- A range of different “feature zones” spanning cybersecurity, tax, automation, and more

Xerocon

Xerocon is an annual conference for cloud accounting leaders. It’s organised by Xero, one of the leading providers of cloud accounting software. While the details are yet to be finalised for 2025, the event is traditionally held in London over the summer. Last year’s Xerocon was a two-day event held in June, so keep your eyes peeled for news on this year’s event!
This event is particularly useful if you’re a Xero user or interested in accounting automation. If Xerocon 2025 is anything like previous editions, you can expect:
- Deep dives into the latest Xero features
- Interesting perspectives on tech trends such as AI and automation
- Talks from tech and cloud accounting experts
Accountex Summit Manchester
Format: In-person
Dates: 23 September, 2025
Location: Manchester Central, Manchester

Acountex Summit Manchester is the North’s premier accounting event. Each year, thousands of accountants, bookkeepers, and tax professionals gather for a full day of accounting presentations spread across four stages. Tickets aren’t on sale yet. To make sure you’re first in line when they get released, we recommend signing up to the mailing list.
Accountex packs a lot of content into a single day, spanning everything from regulatory changes to practical advice on how to run a modern accounting practice. Its one-day format makes it an appealing choice for accountants looking for a shot of inspiration without taking days out of their working schedule. And with 32 CPD-accredited seminars and up to 8 CPD hours up for grabs, it’s a great way to fulfill your continuous education requirements.

The Bookkeepers Summit
Format: In-person + virtual
Dates: 11 November + 13-14 November, 2025
Location: Park Plaza Westminster, London

Wrapping up this list, The Bookkeepers Summit is a combined in-person and virtual event organised by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). It brings together the best and brightest bookkeepers from across the UK.
The in-person event takes place in London over the course of a single day. A couple of days later, the virtual event spans two days. Registration hasn’t been opened yet, so keep a lookout for ticket info. You don’t need to be an ICB member to register.
The Bookkeepers Summit is designed to inform and inspire bookkeepers. By attending the event, you’ll keep your finger on the pulse of the bookkeeping industry.
