If you do bookkeeping, payroll or any other work that requires clients to upload documents or perform other repetitive actions on a regular basis, sending a message with client tasks is a powerful tool to automate the process.
To send this checklist to your clients, create a message template with your desired client tasks. Then, using Job Schedules you can have this checklist sent to your clients weekly, monthly, quarterly — the process is fully customizable.
In order to maintain security, the message content & client tasks were hidden behind the log on page. However, not all client tasks are sensitive and often general. With this update, you can now choose to have your notification emails to clients contain the client list directly in the body of the email. This is how the email notification will appear to your client.
How to show client tasks in client notification emails
You can control the visibility of the client tasks in email notifications by toggling the option in your firm settings.
If you want to show the client tasks checklist in emails, turn the toggle on. Your clients will be able to see the to-do list by just checking their email.
If you want to hide the client tasks, you can keep the toggle turned off. In this case, your clients will receive email notifications about the new message, but to see its content they will be asked to log into the client portal.
