In July, we focused on bringing additional flexibility to your workflow to free up your resources for more adding-value work. You can now set custom schedules for recurring Jobs at more granular frequencies –  every Tuesday, every third Monday and Wednesday, the last day of each month, bi-weekly, etc.

Wiki Pages allow you to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in your workspace – this will speed up onboarding of new staff and ensuring each Job is done correctly. Wikis include a bevy of formatting options (text, bullets, images, videos, etc.) and can be linked to Job templates to appear exactly where they need to be to ensure your staffers follow your firm procedures.

Sneak peek! Coming soon, a calendar view to track Job and task deadlines in one place.

Read on to catch up on everything we’ve shipped in July!

🤓 Team management

Wiki Pages

This month we introduced a powerful addition to the TaxDome Team Management suite – Wiki Pages. Use Wikis to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to onboard new staff quickly and to ensure each Job is done quickly and correctly. By linking Wikis to Job templates, newly created jobs will have the necessary instructions embedded within them and will make it easy for your team to get the job done right. Wikis are dynamic documents which can include images, videos and more, allowing you to create high-quality SOPs that can easily be updated as your firm needs evolve.

🤖 Workflow Automation

Custom schedules for recurring Jobs

In the beginning of this year, we introduced individual recurrence schedules, allowing you to manage Jobs with different schedules within a single pipeline. As an example, this feature allowed firms to have both weekly and bi-weekly payroll to be in the same pipeline. With this month’s release, we’ve added more granular settings to the recurrence schedule, allowing firms even more flexibility and customization to their workflow.

You can now schedule Jobs to recur at whichever frequency you want: every Tuesday, the first Monday of each month, the last day of each month and much more.

UX update: edit pre-filled fields when creating new jobs

When creating a Job from a template, you can now edit all pre-filled fields on the job creation screen. This is useful when you make minor edits to a standard template: change the Due Date, assign the job to a different teammate, etc.

📚 Document Management

Ability to unsubmit organizers

Organizers are forms you can send to clients to provide information to your firm. After an organizer is submitted, your team may have additional questions for the client to clarify. Previously, clients could edit the organizer answers, but the organizer status remained ‘submitted’. This was less intuitive and disrupted your workflow.

You can now unsubmit organizers to return them to the client “to-do” list & send a notification to make updates along with a custom comment if you provide one.

🔥 Other

  • Ability to resend paid invoices. You can now email invoices (paid or unpaid) with PDF attachment. Previously, it was only available for unpaid invoices.
  • New TaxDome Academy course: Effective Team Management and Collaboration in TaxDome. Learn about user rights, account access, team communication tools and more to save valuable time and money. Take the course>>
